Crowd Control was created in 48 hours for the GMTK 2018 game jam.

Controls:
WASD or Arrow Keys to move

Spacebar or B to lay bombs

Enter to start

M to toggle music

Note: I only tested this game using Chrome; it seems like Firefox at least has some problems using arrow keys and space bar with the scrolling (it lags too), so use WASD and B instead.  Or use Chrome.

How to Play:

The goal of Crowd Control is to survive for as long as you can and achieve a high score.  You gain points by defeating the red enemies with your bombs.  You get more points if you get many enemies at once.  

You have 3 lives and you lose one by touching the red enemies or getting caught in your own explosion.

Theme:

The theme of the game jam is genre without mechanic.  This game is inspired by arena twin stick shooter type games like Smash TV or Robotron, except in those games you have a gun to shoot with.  Here, I've removed the gun and you can only use bombs.

Also, the music was made using only octave notes, so that's kind of also a music without melody type thing going on there too.
